Academia: “Nepal Agenda – Iteration 1”
Eva Castro and Federico Ruberto, assisted by Ignacio Lopez Buson, lead a three months Option Studio at SUTD – Singapore University of Technology and Design. The course focuses on geopolitical and local strategies investigating alternative urban-agricultural models, “scales and thresholds”, for the redevelopment of three key areas in Nepal. More info here.
The course focused on organizing territories via relational sets, performative structures and geometrical abstractions. Infra-structural signs, swinging vectors, points and lines that interpolate ‘bottom up’ agents and “top down” hierarchies, settling morphological animosities* between “continuities” and “discontinuities”, nature(s) and artefacts; speculative ecologies.
